How to Wash a Vintage Cotton Quilt Cover

Wash separately prior to use.
Cold or warm wash using a gently laundry detergent, organic is preferable.
Remove your quilt cover immediately when washing cycle is finished to prevent creasing.
Line dry where possible, otherwise tumble dry on the lowest temperature.
Iron if required.
Launder on a regular basis to keep your quilt cover looking fresh.
To Avoid:
- Bleaches or whitening agents will remove colour and break down the natural cotton fibre. Organic Cotton is made without these types of chemicals so why add them afterwards.
- Fabric softeners or a drying sheets, while these may smell nice, many use chemicals that create the illusion of softness and can leave a residue on your quilt cover.
