500gsm Australian Made Winter Wool Quilts
Our 500gsm wool quilts are warm, comfortable and designed for our winters, using 100% natural fibres. The quilts are filled with Australian wool and have a cotton cover. The quilts are a cassette design to hold the wool in place, so that warmth is evenly distributed.
Wool breathes and is absorbent, this allows the quilts to absorb moisture and disperse excess heat, making them more comfortable to sleep under (wool can absorb up to 1/3 of its weight without feeling damp), and wool is naturally dust mite resistant.
The wool used to create our quilts is sourced by our Makers from ethical Australian farms who implement with the best animal husbandry practices. The sheep are shorn once a year and the Farmers ensure that the sheep are taken care of in the best manner. The wool is then sent for cleaning and scouring in preparation for our wool quilts.

How to Clean your Winter Wool Quilt
- Air your wool quilt prior to use, this will help freshen the wool fibres once the quilt has been removed from the packaging. Our quilts do not require cleaning prior to use.
- Spot/sponge clean your quilt using a mild detergent with cold water.
- Air regularly on nice sunny/breezy days to revitalise the wool fibres. Regular airing will provide you with a longer lasting quilt.
- Dry Clean your quilt using a reputable Organic or Eco Friendly Dry Cleaner who works with natural fibres and uses environmentally friendly cleaning agents.
- We recommend that you use a Quilt Cover on your Wool Quilt to help protect the quilt and keep it clean.
Our Makers use wool straight off a sheep (grease wool) for these quilts that is cleaned/scoured to remove vegetation and other natural dirt using detergent and alkali with specialised equipment.
