How to Wash a Linen/Cotton Quilt Cover

  • Wash separately prior to use.
  • Cold wash using a gently laundry detergent, organic is preferable.
  • Remove your quilt cover immediately when washing cycle is finished to prevent further creasing.
  • Line dry where possible, otherwise tumble dry on the lowest temperature.
  • Do not Dry Clean
  • Launder on a regular basis to keep your quilt cover looking fresh.
  • To Avoid:
    • Bleaches or whitening agents will remove colour and break down the natural cotton fibre.  Organic Cotton is made without these types of chemicals so why add them afterwards.
    • Fabric softeners or a drying sheets, while these may smell nice, many use chemicals that create the illusion of softness and can leave a residue on your quilt cover.
