How to Clean your Winter Wool Quilt

  • Air your wool quilt prior to use, this will help freshen the wool fibres once the quilt has been removed from the packaging.  Our quilts do not require cleaning prior to use.
  • Spot/sponge clean your quilt using a mild detergent with cold water.
  • Air regularly on nice sunny/breezy days to revitalise the wool fibres. Regular airing will provide you with a longer lasting quilt.
  • Dry Clean your quilt using a reputable Organic or Eco Friendly Dry Cleaner who works with natural fibres and uses environmentally friendly cleaning agents.
  • We recommend that you use a Quilt Cover on your Wool Quilt to help protect the quilt and keep it clean.

Our Makers use wool straight off a sheep (grease wool) for these quilts that is cleaned/scoured to remove vegetation and other natural dirt using detergent and alkali with specialised equipment.
