Cleaning an Australian Wool Underblanket

Can be spot cleaned - the sooner you treat stains the better, if you wait it will be more difficult to remove the stain from your wool mattress topper. You can initially try blotting with a dry soft cloth or sponge to absorb as much of the stain as possible. Then use a damp cloth or sponge, pressing into the stain to try to absorb it. Use only cold water when spot cleaning as hot water will set a protein stain such as blood.
Dry Clean only using a reputable Dry Cleaner who works with natural fibres.
Air brush to retain loft and softness. It is more efficient to air both sides.
You can also vacuum using an upholstery type attachment, this will help draw air through the wool fibres, keeping them loose and allowing any odours to be removed.

It is recommended to use sheets made from natural fibres such as cotton or linen which will help reduce overheating.
