These are large, plush organic cotton towels with a tassel finish and are designed to be sand free:

The cotton "Velour" side sits on the sand and is designed to greatly minimise sand collection. Just give your towel a gentle shake to remove sand quickly and easily.
The looped cotton side is designed for absorbency and is soft against your skin, so great for drying off after a swim and wrapping around your body.
